If you encounter water on your trip, a canoe is perfect for getting around lakes and rivers in Femund Engerdal. The 60 kilometer long lake Femund with its associated national park Femundsmarka together form one of southern Norway's last untouched wilderness areas. Here you can be out for days on land or at sea without meeting anyone. Thousands of small lakes, rivers, round mountain peaks and mysterious forests await you.

When the night was at its brightest at the end of June, two good friends walked Femundstien from the sandy beach at Femundsenden to Støteriset in Trysil. A walk through open mountain forest, seder landscape and high mountains, with a light breeze and sun at your back, from sunset to sunrise.
The pole hunt aims to find 50 poles located in Engerdal Municipality, this year all the poles are located in and around the center of Engerdal.
What is new and exciting is that this year the posts are placed along the refugee route. This year's posts have a historic buzz.
We hope the hunt for poles leads you to many nice places here in our municipality. We have some areas where you have to pay a toll to get up - but you will, on the other hand, get great nature experiences in return.
