History/business

The Trysilvassdragets Skoeierlag (TVS) was founded in 1916. A main reason for its establishment was a desire to secure the interests of forest owners in Trysil and Engerdal at a time when Swedish buyers were very active. During these almost 100 years, the team has supported many local projects, and was, for example, central in the work to develop a landowner collaboration in connection with the large-scale development of Trysilfjellet.

TVS has a close collaboration with Glommen Skog SA. Forest owners in Trysil and Engerdal who are unit owners in Glommen Skog and have forests in Trysil and Engerdal are members of TVS. While Glommen takes care of the felling and marketing of the timber, TVS works to develop all the forest's and field's resources. Experiences and tourism are now key words.

TVS owns and operates Skogplanter Innlandet AS, formerly Trysil planteskole and Sønsterud Skogplanter.

Purpose, vision and values

TVS' purpose is to:

• In case of joint performance, to look after the members' business interests
• To be a link between a member and Glommen Skog SA, and to contribute to carrying out the cooperative's task in the forest owners' association's area
• To work for professional progress in forests and outback in the forest owners' association's area.
• To safeguard private property rights, work for good local political framework conditions and local understanding of forestry and field farming.
