Kopparleden teaterlag was founded in January 2011 and aims to develop and perform performing arts mainly in connection with Trysil/ Engerdal/ Østerdalen and in collaboration with local actors.

Kopparleden theater team consists of a mixture of professional actors and skilled amateurs. We value cohesion and the joy of playing, together with artistic quality and innovation. We seek to create identity-creating cultural experiences and good performing arts in challenging stage spaces, often in the region's natural surroundings.

The first production was Anna i ødemarka, an outdoor play inspired by Dagfinn Grønoset's bestseller from 1972. Anna i odemarka was performed at Engerdal Setermuseum in the summer of 2011, and is now performed every odd-numbered summer.
