Johnsgård is located in the far north-west of Femund Engerdal, by Langsjøen 715 m above sea level. It is in the middle of nature, and all around there is open countryside with lots of sky. The mountains are close, but not intrusive. Here you will find a quiet and peaceful family place. With us you can spend the night in cabins, tents, mobile homes or caravans. All our cabins are non-smoking. 

Accommodation

You can see the location of the cabins on the map below. At the campsite we have power outlets for 55 devices. Most with 16A fuses. With us there are no numbered places, you choose your place yourself. We have 20 pitches that are used for year-round camping. A "nailed awning" is permitted. Total area that you can build for the trailer is 16 m2 (platting and nail tents).

The host has good knowledge of activities for the deaf-blind. When they offer and facilitate activities, they have the "back-to-basics" idea as a guiding principle: hiking, fishing, simple ski trips, cozying up around the fire with the coffee pot on the fire. Our vision: Nature is for everyone – regardless of functional level. 

Hiking - fishing - canoeing and cross-country skiing in gentle mountain nature

We have rowing boats and canoes for free use by our guests. It is also possible to try your luck fishing with your own guide at Langsjøen. We are preparing a ski track network of 80 km starting from Johnsgård. We also have a small farm with dairy cows and calves that you can greet.

Universal Design

We have three cabins that are adapted for wheelchairs. In addition, we own a Pioner Multi and offer boat and fishing trips for everyone, regardless of functional level. We have arranged a two-km-long round, which is universally designed. At Langodden there is a beach with lavvo and utedo.

Frisbee golf 

A frisbee golf course has been set up along the universally designed round. Frisbee golf is a fun activity for young and old, and the course is laid out so that with a little help you can also take part in a wheelchair. Frisbees can be rented at the reception.

Outdoor Escape Games

One of Norway's first outdoor Escape games! This is a game based on the same principles as an escape room and requires logical thinking, problem solving and cooperation. In contrast to most other outdoor escape games, this is mainly an analogue game with a focus on practical and technical solutions.

Eco-Lighthouse

Johnsgård Tourist Center is an Environmental Lighthouse
