    Your gateway to Femundsmarka National Park

    During the summer season, the traditional M/S Fæmund II takes you along the "inland sea" Femunden.

    With its 203 km2 and a length of 60 km, Femunden is Norway's second largest lake. On board the boat you can enjoy the view of the scenic Femundsmarka. You can also combine the journey with trips in and near Femundsmarka from the stops. M/S Fæmund II has room for 75 passengers and serves simple and tasty local food on board.

    Femund AS reserves the right that calls may be canceled in bad weather conditions.

     We run the spring route on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 7.6 - 24.6. We run 1 route daily from 28.06-11.8. We run an extended route on Saturdays where we go all the way down to Buvika. In the autumn route, we run on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from and including 16.08 to and including 2.09.

    MS Fæmund II has a total of 4 stops on the east side of the lake and 3 on the west side. 4 stops on the west side when sailing to Buvika

    Mini cruise on Femund

    Every Saturday in high season (see timetable) you can join a mini-cruise from Elgå to Buvika.

    The trip goes out towards Sollerøya and calls at Buvika before returning to Elgå. The trip takes about 2 hours. You can enjoy delicious local food and snacks along the way.
