In Småfolk i ødemarka, children aged 5-13 take over the ENTIRE play area – and create their own performance, with everything that entails: imagination, excitement, chaos, timing, humor and drama!
SMÅFOLK I ØDEMARKA 2026 is a performance that:
Played on the main stage, of course with a live band
With all the costumes and props
Where you sit in the main stand
– just like the big game
A total of 36 children and young people from Engerdal and elsewhere will work hard to create this adventure together during a wonderful summer school week. And last but not least – in the production, young people in summer jobs between the ages of 13-20 stand together with professional actors to give you a full-scale professional theater production.

The main committee for 2026 is already well underway with preparations for next year's event, which will take place 30.7-2.8.

You and the whole family have free entry to the market place during the day. Here there will be entertainment from the stage in addition to many other activities!
Folk music, folk dance and outdoor festival which is held outdoors on the mountain in Engerdal every year in the middle/end of July. In addition to the festival, Heme arranges its own summer camp for children and young people in parallel with the festival, and has the Hemom concert series throughout the year. Your homes means at your home, and is a local dialect expression.
Many people are familiar with the fact that food tastes even better when it is enjoyed outdoors. Did you know that this also applies to concerts?
Experiences out in the fresh air surrounded by fantastic nature have always been greatly appreciated by Norwegians, and more and more people are discovering this unbeatable combination. The game will be played at Engerdal Setermuseum in August 2027.

On stage are professionals and amateurs, old and young.
