Blokkodden Wildlife museum
Blokkodden Wildlife Museum is an outdoor, cultural history museum with buildings and artifacts from the South Sami culture, forestry, agriculture, hunting and fishing. The museum is located in a recreational area by Highway 26 in Drevsjø, and provides an insight into how people lived in Femundsmarka. Here you can experience how people lived, worked and survived since the first settlement in the area from the 1600s to the present day.
This is also a popular hiking area.
An adventure park is under preparation at Blokkodden, behind the info house.
The museum was in 1986 nominated as a candidate as the Norwegian candidate by the Council of Europe Museum Prize.
The museum is universally designed with walking trails, information boards, fishing spots, picnic tables, outhouse, wigwam and shelter.
