Femund Canoe Camp

Welcome to Femund canoe camp

Femund Canoe Camp is situated in Sorken next to the quiet river Sorka, 13 km north of Drevsjø in Engerdal municipality, South-Eastern Norway. It was established in 1974 by the two Swedish founders Morgan Nilsson and Bengt Magnusson and has successfully been run by Bengt and his family for the last 20 years. From 2015 Bengt’s oldest daughter and her partner Rick Noordink will run the business.

The camp site is 26 acres big with cabins, shelters, toilets and showers and has been the base and starting point for thousands of enthusiastic adventurers throughout the years. Still, it has never been crowded. Caravans are not allowed, ensuring a quiet and peaceful camping environment. The canoeing activity is centered around the main building leaving plenty of space for you to find your own, hidden tenting spot along the wooded, protected riverside’s of Sorka.

FCC has different types of canoes for rent with accompanying equipment such as life vests and paddles. It is also possible to hire cooking equipment, tents, sleeping bags etc.

Canoe rental

We have two different kinds of Canadian canoes for rent, 2-person and 3-person canoes. Our 2-person canoes are the most popular. They can easily carry two adults with equipment for a trip of 1-2 weeks. The 3-person canoe is used when an odd number of people travel together or as a family canoe, for instance for two adults with one or two smaller children.
