Welcome to a different tourist experience!
M/S Fæmund II is the passenger ferry servicing Norway's 3rd largest lake, Femunden, in the summertime. The boat has been in service since 1905. However, there has been boat service on Lake Femunden ever since 1886. Back then, it was log towing and freight traffic which served as the basis for boat service. Today it is passenger traffic that fills up the boat, and most of them are hikers and fishermen on their way into Femundsmarka National Park. Røa, Haugen and Revlingen are the stops that will take you into the national park. On the other side of the lake, the World Heritage site at Femundhytten is an interesting stop. The boat trip in and of itself is a magnificent outdoor experience!
